Welcome Back - Fall of '21
The ILT fall semester is underway, with the first week of courses completed today (Friday, August 27th). This semester is another strong semester for ILT with over 100 students studying in 12 different certificate and degree programs. (The official numbers will come out after census day on September 3rd.) ILT continues to serve students at all levels of higher education. Primarily, ILT helps prepare students for ministry. Many ILT students are preparing for service in the congregation through certificate, undergraduate, or graduate degree programs. ILT also offers undergraduate degree programs as well as master’s and Ph.D. level graduate courses. In each case, ILT students are a part of a Christian community and hear the word of God as they prepare for their various vocations.
Last Spring, ILT announced that it had received 1.5 million in an estate gift that will be used for student scholarships. This was an important donation that supplements other financial aid gifts and scholarships which ILT receives from various, generous donors. This year ILT anticipates that more than $80,000 will be given to students from the various funds available. This will cover almost 18% of the total tuition for the year. This is a major advantage for many ILT students. Financial concerns are the number one reason why students struggle. These gifts and donations make education a possibility when it otherwise would not have been.
The ILT staff commitment is that no student will not study at ILT simply because they don’t have the money. Money should never be the only reason students do not enroll. This commitment is completely dependent upon the generosity of our donors. Right now, ILT is raising money to support those students who do not have the means to pay full tuition costs. Please consider if you can support these students through a donation to the financial aid fund or through setting up your own scholarship.
