Faculty Annual Retreat

On July 28 and 29, the governing faculty of the Institute of Lutheran Theology (ILT) met to prepare for the coming school year. During this meeting, the faculty discussed the future of ILT with President Bielfeldt and reviewed an expanded faculty handbook. Dr. Benne and Dr. Kilcrease both presented papers.
The faculty had planned to hold their second annual retreat in Brookings.Because of COVID-19, this did not happen. Instead the faculty met using Zoom. While this was not the best situation, we made the best of it. The faculty remains committed to helping our students and teaching our history and faith.
The Fall semester starts on August 24th. At this time, we have 86 students in 13 programs. The Ph.D. program which was started last year has seen strong growth this year. We also start the A.A. and B.A. programs this fall. We give thanks to God for his continual blessings.
