2020 Summer House of Studies

Eighteen students including students four different degree programs and lay people from the ILT community met this week (June 22 – 26) for the summer House of Studies course, Forde and Jenson. The course was taught by Dr. Mark Mattes from Grand View University in Iowa. Unfortunately, because of COVID-19, the students were not able to travel to Brookings and engage in the class. Instead, the students gathered using Zoom each afternoon.
In this class, the theologies of both Forde and Jenson were discussed, both in how they are similar and how they are different. The class was deeply involved in the discussion on these topics. Students joined the class from all over North America and Madagascar.
ILT continues to seek new ways to deliver pastoral and theological education to students in many locations and from many traditions. Through these relationships, ILT students learn from a variety of viewpoints both within theology and culture.
