Immediately after the graduation, he was installed as an intern at Faith Lutheran Church by Pastor Scott Grorud and Pastor David Wollan. The ILT community expresses its heartiest congratulations to Jeff and its continuing gratitude for Faith Lutheran Church and its faithful partnership in ministry.
During the week of February 24-28, Dr. Dennis Bielfeldt hosted a class for ILT students and military chaplains in El Paso, TX. The course, titled Caring for the Flock: Luther, Spirituality, and the Care of the Soul, was given both for ILT credit and for continuing education units for serving chaplains. The focus of the course was understanding a minister’s call to care for people from the Lutheran theological perspective. Nineteen students attended this class. Three of the students were taking it for credit with ILT. Six are taking it for continuing education units. This class is an opportunity for current military chaplains and those in the Military Chaplaincy program at ILT to be able to collaborate on a more intimate level.
