2019 Fall Semester: ILT Expands its Ability to Serve Specific Callings and Educational Goals
The 2019 Fall Semester at the Institute of Lutheran Theology (ILT) started on August 19th. This is ILT’s tenth Fall Semester offering graduate programs. This year the total student body has a record 86 students in nine programs. The student body includes students from many parts of the country as well as from Canada and Madagascar. There are 16 students in the M.Div. program, 18 students in the Pastoral Ministry Certificate, 13 students in the Master of Sacred Theology program and 16 students in the Doctor of Ministry program.
This year is very historic for ILT because this is the first semester ILT is offering both the Master of Military Chaplaincy (M.M.C.) and the Ph.D. programs. ILT received permission from the accreditation agency (ABHE) to offer these programs last fall. With these programs, ILT expands its ability to serve students in specific callings and educational goals. There are currently two students in the M.M.C program and five in the Ph.D. We pray that God will bless these students abundantly as they pioneer these programs.
We give thanks to God for his many blessings both to the school and to the students who learn here. These students are in the process of earning an education which will equip them to proclaim the gospel and serve the church and the world. We pray that God will use all of them to do his work in the world and to bless others though them. Please keep these students in your prayers as they face the many challenges that are set before them. If you can donate toward our scholarship fund at this time your generosity will help them, the school, as well as the larger church in obtaining the preachers and teachers it very much needs.
