Faculty, staff, and students of the Institute of Lutheran Theology (ILT) would like to express our gratitude to all who participated in the end-of-year fundraiser, which we always extend into January. Our goal was to raise $150,000, and with the promise that up to that amount would be matched, ILT actually received $163,000 from our donors as of the last day. We praise God for his grace and give thanks for your generosity.
We think God is intentional in his blessings. God has a purpose for ILT and has provided generous supporters to reach our long-term goals of raising another generation of preachers and teachers. ILT is committed to providing quality education to our students at low cost. The cost for a program at ILT is only a third of the cost at other traditional seminaries. ILT can do this because of the generosity of our donors who contribute to the operating fund.
ILT remains committed to train up pastors and teachers who are biblically and confessionally grounded, who have relevant experience, and who can serve the church in the 21st Century. We are only able to do this because of the support we receive from our donors. For the 2017-2018 school year, tuition counted for 25% of ILT’s total revenue, up from 20%, therefore we are moving toward our goal of not depending so much on donations. In the meantime, we wish to thank all of you again for your commitment to the future.
