On January 25th, the Spring Semester for academic year 2017-2018 will begin. This is the ninth Spring semester ILT has run. This semester, ILT is offering a total of 30 courses (eleven Certificate, nineteen Graduate). In these fifteen-week courses, students will study the Scriptures, the Lutheran Confessions, Church History, Theology, and Philosophy. Through these courses ILT accomplishes its mission to “rigorously equip faithful pastors, teachers and lay people to effectively proclaim the gospel and serve Christ’s church throughout the world.”
For Spring 2018 the graduate and certificate students have the following courses to choose from:
Nine years ago ILT started its first Spring semester with one course, New Testament Greek. In its second Spring semester, ILT was able to offer nine courses to its seventeen students. Today, ILT continues to train pastors and teachers by offering many complete programs to students. In those nine years, ILT has graduated eleven from the Master of Divinity program and twenty-one from the Pastoral Ministry Certificate program. These are 32 people who are now serving congregations through word and sacrament ministry who were trained at ILT. It should also be noted that members of these congregations express their gratitude to ILT time and again for having such fine preachers.
The official last day to add/drop a class is February 7th. ILT will be taking new students for the Spring semester until that day.
