The Institute of Lutheran Theology Achieves GuideStar's Platinum Status

February 17, 2017

We are pleased that the Institute of Lutheran Theology (ILT) has achieved Platinum status with GuideStar, the organization that collects data on non-profit institutions within the United States.  Platinum status is awarded to a elect group of institutions demonstrating maximum transparency to the public on all matters of operations.  While some non-profits share their financial information, not many share the requisite operational institutional information to achieve the platinum status.

ILT believes transparency is important. As a Christian faith community, seminary and graduate school, ILT recognizes that it is not owned by its staff or faculty, but ultimately by those who regularly pray for and support it. ILT's mission - "to equip faithful pastors, teachers and laypeople to effectively proclaim the gospel and serve Christ's Church throughout the world" - is itself a response to Christ's work among us. ILT's finances are the fuel by which its mission is realized, resources given by hundreds of individuals and congregations nationwide.

Study the ILT information at http://www.guidestar.org/profile/26-1251815 and learn about an institution where staff, faculty and Board regularly provide 25% or more of the total operational income. Learn about a young and vibrant institution that has already achieved accreditation candidacy, and is profoundly committed to achieving institutional accreditation in nearly record time. Check out ILT's distinctive faculty and innovative course delivery system. Learn about its Masters of Arts, Masters of Divinity, Masters of Sacred Theology, Doctor of Ministry and certificate programs that challenge students to study more deeply than they thought possible.

Are you wanting to study theology deeply?  Are you looking to contribute to an institution that truly changes people's lives? Look no further than the Institute of Lutheran Theology, an independent and autonomous seminary and graduate school teaching Scripture and tradition from the standpoint of the Lutheran Confessions, and engaging profoundly the contemporary cultural and intellectual horizon.
