Over forty people were on hand to hear Dr. Mark Hillmer address the psalms and their being “filled” or “fulfilled” in Jesus Christ. The Lake Okoboji site of Ingham-Okoboji Lutheran Camp hosted the event from opening worship on Sunday, June 5th, to the closing devotions on Tuesday, June 7th. Held in conjunction with the camp’s Elderversity, twenty-nine of the participants attended under that banner. Twelve attended under the banner of the Institute of Lutheran Theology’s (ILT) theological conference.
Camp Director Rod Quanbeck welcomed the group on Monday morning and opened all the services of the camp to it, promising complete hospitality. He regularly checked in with the participants, making sure things were going well, and asking if there were any unmet needs. Vigorous song preceded every session as the participants were led in the singing of memorable hymns by local musician Bob Floss. Excellent evening devotions were led by camp staff. Every meal was a delight, courtesy of camp chef Kevin Hale.
Thank you, Ingham-Okoboji, you were a marvelous host!
