Pastoral Ministry Graduate: Gary DeSha

Mr. Gary DeSha graduated from the Institute of Lutheran Theology (ILT) with a Pastoral Ministry Certificate on Sunday, August 26th, at Living Word Lutheran Church, Alexandria, MN. He has attained to all the rights, privileges, and responsibilities that are accorded his new certificate. The Rev. Timothy J. Swenson, Dean of Chapel at ILT, presided at the graduation ceremony and delivered the certificate to the newly graduated DeSha. Pastor A. J. Kluver hosted the ceremony during Sunday morning worship. A New Semester, A New School Year

The Fall semester of Academic Year 2018-2019 began on Monday August 23, 2018. This marks the beginning the tenth year ILT has offered graduate courses. ILT has grown since those early days when the first few brave students decided to study here. This semester there are 81 students taking or auditing classes in ten programs. Twenty-one students are in the Pastoral Ministry Certificate program, eighteen are in the Master of Divinity Program, and sixteen are in the Doctor of Ministry Program. The remainder of the students are participating in one of the other seven programs offered. ILT has been blessed in our growth in the last ten years. Setting up our own Institute of Lutheran Theology has been in the works for a while. We researched what people wanted and the best sources for quality merchandise. We are thrilled to say that the shop went live this week and you can choose classic university clothing such as hoodie sweatshirts, polo shirts and t- shirts, as well as baseball caps, mugs and even a journal book. ILT offers New Degree: Master of Military Chaplaincy

The Institute of Lutheran Theology received permission from its accreditation agency, the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) to offer a new degree program: The Master of Military Chaplaincy. The Master of Military Chaplaincy program is specifically designed to equip students to become faithful and effective ministers of the gospel as chaplains in the armed forces of the United States. The program fulfills all Department of Defense requirements, as well as those of most church body endorsing agents. ILT provides a mentor who guides and advises students through the chaplain candidacy process. The 72-credit curriculum ensures that students can complete the program within the windo

Master of Divinity Graduate: Caleb Bahr

Mr. Caleb Bahr graduated from the Institute of Lutheran Theology (ILT) with a Master of Divinity degree on Sunday, July 29th, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, New Braunfels, TX. He has attained to all the rights, privileges, and responsibilities that are accorded his new degree. One of those privileges is to now be addressed as “Reverend.” Along with that privilege comes the responsibility to preach the Word of God in season and out of season.
